A group exhibition, curated by AndyT, of 2D & 3D process-driven artworks that are created through the layering of materials and actions as well as through the layering of imagery. The resulting works create a variety of visual phenomena for the viewer that range from quiet & contemplative to intense & overwhelming.

TWO-PERSON EXHIBITION
"DREAMSCAPE"

Cathy Jacobs and Luzhen Qiu have teamed up again for this very contemplative and ethereal exhibition of their work. Both artists works evoke emotion through the layering of semi-transparent elements. Luzhen works in the two-dimensional realm of sumi ink monoprints and collages, while Cathy works in the three-dimensions of fibers and weaving.

A Public Installation in the Aquarium Gallery
November 21 - December 16, 2017
I created a temporary art installation called "Universe, CMYK" for the Ann Arbor Art Center's Aquarium Gallery. I used layers of fiberglass screening. The color of each panel of screening was affected by the panel behind it. Seen up close, this work was delicate and ethereal. However, when seen from a distance, the simple geometric design created a bold image.
